Building your superintelligence.

Your judgement, written down · Applied everywhere · Better every year

Your superintelligence is the accumulated judgement of your business, written down and made to run. Which job an invoice belongs to. Which supplier is approved for that site. How a quote gets priced. Not the kind in the headlines. Yours.

Every business runs on judgements nobody has written down. The term is new; the asset is not. What is new is that the asset can now be held somewhere other than in your people's heads.

What it actually is

Most of what makes your business work was never written down. It lives in the people who have been there longest: which job this invoice belongs to, which supplier is approved for that site, which exception is fine and which one is a problem. That judgement is the business. At the moment it goes home at five, and some of it never comes back.

Your superintelligence is that judgement held properly, so the operation knows more than any one person in it.

Three things have to be true

  • Captured once. A decision a person makes becomes a rule the system holds, in plain language you can read and change.
  • Applied everywhere. The same answer on every screen, every shift, every entity. One fact, recorded once, true in all the places it appears.
  • Better every year. Each correction teaches the next answer. The work does not reset when someone leaves.

Miss any one of the three and you have software. Hold all three and you have something that appreciates.

What it looks like

A builder running several entities and a few dozen live jobs. Supplier invoices arrive by email, and someone reads every one to decide which job, which cost code, which entity. That decision is years of knowing the business. Written down, the invoice is coded before anyone opens it, and the person who used to do it reviews the handful that are genuinely unclear.

A team where one person knows how quoting really works, including the parts that contradict the price list. Written down, it survives their annual leave, and their resignation.

More of these in problems we have solved, or see invoices to the right job and keeping process knowledge.

What this is not

It is not the thing being debated in parliaments and headlines. That conversation is about machines that outperform people in general, and it has nothing to do with running a business in Queensland.

It is not a chatbot over your files, and it is not a replacement for your people. It is their judgement, kept.

Common questions

Is this the same superintelligence that is in the news?

No. That conversation is about machines that outperform people in general. This is about one business holding its own judgement properly, so the operation knows more than any single person in it. The word is useful because it names the goal exactly.

What if our process is not written down anywhere?

That is the normal case and it is part of the work. We watch how it is actually done and write it down as we build it, which is usually the first time it has existed outside people's heads.
